ANNOUNCEMENT

Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine 2007 Mentoring Program Awardees

In 2006 the SEBM Council established a new award with the objective to nurture young scientists to choose careers in biomedical research. The SEBM Mentor/Mentee Travel Award is designed to mentor young scientists in their graduate training programs (PhD) or MDs who are in their Fellowship Training in all fields of clinical and basic science. Last year the Council approved Five Travel Awards that enabled the Mentee to have funding to cover or defray the expenses of at least a week’s visit to a chosen SEBM Member’s Laboratory for an opportunity for firsthand experience to expand the trainee’s educational scope.
